2.5kW is the correct capacity for most bedrooms, nurseries, studies and home offices up to roughly 25 square metres. The inverter compressor runs continuously at low speed rather than switching on and off, which does two things that matter in our climate: it holds temperature within a degree, and it removes far more humidity from the air. That is why a properly sized unit feels comfortable at 24 or 25 degrees, when an oversized unit needs 20 degrees to feel the same.

If your room exceeds 25m2, has a raked ceiling, a large west-facing window, or opens onto a hallway, choose the 3.5kW model instead.
