Fujitsu installation in Brisbane
- Free on-site assessment and heat-load sizing — room area, ceiling height, glazing, insulation and orientation, so the unit dehumidifies properly instead of short-cycling through a humid Brisbane summer.
- Wall split installation — Lifestyle and Classic series, back-to-back or extended pipe runs, wall brackets or ground pads with anti-vibration mounts.
- Multi-split installation — one AOTG outdoor unit running 2–5 indoor heads; ideal for townhouses, unit blocks and homes with tight side setbacks.
- Ducted installation and zoning — ARTG/ARTA ceiling-space units, insulated flexible ductwork, motorised zone dampers, controller placement and roof-space access planning for older Queenslanders.
- Cassettes, ceiling-suspended and floor consoles for offices, shops, clinics and rooms without usable wall space.
- Electrical works — dedicated circuit, isolator, switchboard assessment and a compliance certificate at handover.
- Wi-Fi commissioning — FGLair app and Wi-Fi module setup, plus a walkthrough before we leave.
- Old unit removal with legal refrigerant recovery.
Fujitsu repairs
Faults we see most often
- Not cooling or blowing warm air — refrigerant leak, blocked coil, failed capacitor or compressor
- Water dripping from the indoor unit — blocked condensate drain, dirty barrel fan, frozen coil
- Operation and timer lights flashing an error code, unit shutting down
- Outdoor unit not starting — contactor, capacitor, fan motor or inverter PCB
- Rattling, ticking or grinding indoor fan bearing
- Musty mould odour from coil and blower
- Remote or wired controller unresponsive
- FGLair Wi-Fi module dropping connection
- Control board damage after storms and power surges
- Ducted systems: one zone not cooling, failed zone motor, disconnected duct
Typical Fujitsu error indications
Code | Meaning | Typical fix |
E:EE 00 / 11 | Indoor–outdoor communication error | Interconnect wiring or PCB |
4:03 | Indoor fan motor fault | Fan motor or PCB |
4:0C / 4:0d | Indoor thermistor fault | Sensor replacement |
5:15 / 5:16 | Outdoor sensor fault | Sensor replacement |
9:9 | Drain / float switch trip | Clear drain, pump or switch |
A:1 | Outdoor fan motor fault | Fan motor, capacitor |
E:1 | High pressure / discharge temperature | Clean condenser, check charge |
F:1 | Compressor overcurrent | Compressor, PCB, restricted airflow |
Error codes point to a symptom, not the root cause. If your Fujitsu is flashing a high-pressure or low-gas fault, switch it off — continuing to run it risks the compressor.
Fujitsu servicing and maintenance
- Filter clean or replacement, including apple-catechin and deodorising filters where fitted
- Chemical or pressure clean of the indoor coil, barrel fan and casing
- Drain tray flush, drain line clear and antibacterial treatment
- Outdoor condenser coil wash and fin comb — essential on the bayside where salt attacks coils
- Refrigerant pressure, superheat and subcooling checks, plus leak inspection
- Electrical testing — amp draw, capacitors, contactors, terminal tightness
- Airflow and temperature-split verification
- Ducted systems — zone motor operation, duct joints, plenum and insulation inspection
- Written condition report with photos and recommendations
Frequency: every 12 months for splits, every 6 months for ducted, commercial, coastal or pet-household systems.
Fujitsu models and ranges we support
- Wall splits — Lifestyle Next (ASTH), e-Series / Classic 3 (ASTG…KMTC, LVTC), Slimline Designer, plus older ASTG KMCA, LVTA and ASTA series
- Ducted — ARTG/ARTA inverter ducted (Slimline and Standard), compact bulkhead models
- Multi-split — AOTG18, 24, 30 and 36 outdoor units with mixed indoor combinations
- Cassettes — AUTG 4-way compact and standard ceiling cassettes
- Ceiling-suspended and floor consoles — ABTG under-ceiling, AGTV/AGYG floor-standing
- Light commercial and VRF — J-Series and VRF systems (service and repair; design by arrangement)
- Controls — wireless remotes, UTY wired controllers, FGLair Wi-Fi, zone controllers and BMS interfaces
Older Fujitsu models are usually still repairable — Australian parts support for this brand is excellent. Where a part is obsolete, we’ll advise honestly on repair versus replacement.
Fujitsu FAQs
Is Fujitsu a good air conditioner for Brisbane?
Yes. Fujitsu units handle high ambient temperatures well, dehumidify effectively and have very good spare-parts availability in Australia — which means shorter waits and lower repair bills over the system’s life.
What warranty do Fujitsu systems carry?
Fujitsu residential splits and ducted systems in Australia generally come with a 5-year parts and labour warranty when installed by a licensed installer and registered with Fujitsu General. We handle the registration. Faults caused by missed servicing, blocked drains, storms or power surges are excluded.
What size Fujitsu do I need?
As a rough guide: 2.5 kW for a bedroom to about 20 m², 3.5 kW for 20–30 m², 5.0–6.0 kW for living areas to 45 m², 7.1–8.5 kW for large open-plan. Brisbane humidity, high ceilings and west-facing glass all increase the requirement, so we confirm on site.
Can I control my Fujitsu from my phone?
Most current models support the FGLair app via a built-in or plug-in Wi-Fi module, giving scheduling, remote start and status monitoring. Many older ASTG units can be retrofitted — send us your model number and we’ll confirm.
Why is my Fujitsu leaking water inside?
Almost always a blocked condensate drain — dust, mould and insects clog the line and the tray overflows. It can also be a dirty barrel fan flicking droplets or a frozen coil thawing. Turn it off to protect ceilings and book a drain clean.
Why does my unit smell musty?
Mould on the damp indoor coil and blower wheel, which is very common in Brisbane’s humidity. A chemical coil and fan clean removes it. Running dry or fan-only mode for 10 minutes after cooling helps keep it away.
How long does a Fujitsu last?
Typically 10–15 years with annual servicing. Bayside and coastal properties should have the outdoor coil washed and treated yearly to prevent salt corrosion cutting that short.
Do you use genuine Fujitsu parts?
Yes — genuine PCBs, thermistors, fan motors, drain pumps and capacitors sourced through Australian channels so warranty and reliability are preserved.
Which areas do you service?
All of Brisbane plus Logan, Ipswich, Redlands and Moreton Bay — including the CBD, Chermside, Aspley, North Lakes, Carindale, Mount Gravatt, Sunnybank, Indooroopilly, Kenmore and Wynnum.
